Penlog is an Apple Pencil journaling app for iPad built around a simple premise the site states up front: handwritten notes usually die on the page. Penlog reads the notation you already use and turns it into structured data that your other tools — and your AI assistant — can act on.

You write on a daily blank page (dotted, grid, or lined). Penlog’s handwriting recognition interprets your notation rather than asking you to tag anything by hand: a bullet marks a task, a circle marks an event, an X marks something completed. Those elements then sync out to Notion and Apple Calendar, and the sync runs both ways — edit a task in Notion and the change comes back to the handwritten page.

The AI side works over MCP. Claude and ChatGPT can connect to your journal, read what you wrote, and write back to it. A REST API is available for agents that need direct access to journal pages.
